Fani Willis Fired an Employee For Fear of Revealing Confidential Information

Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee Jim Jordan recently provided updates on a significant development regarding the controversial Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.  Jordan recently subpoenaed Willis, requesting documents from the prosecutor who brought charges against former President Donald Trump.

During a discussion at CPAC 2024, Jordan was asked if he had heard back from Willis on the request for documents.  However, the House Judiciary chairman noted that a former staff member from within the Fulton County DA’s office was in communications with Jordan’s committee.

“No, we haven’t heard back from her yet. We’ll see what we get, but there’s a whistleblower in her office who we have talked to our committee staff.  And she the whistleblower I think she’s like four foot eleven. But Fani Willis had seven police like escort her out when when she fired this lady, because this lady raised the concern that Miss Willis was not spending federal funds in the, not following the grant the rules of the grant and the grant dollars in the appropriate manner,” he said.

Jordan continued detailing how Willis allegedly fired the whistleblower for raising concerns about financial impropriety.  The representative also explained Willis’ seeming refusal to cooperate with the subpoena, forcing Jordan’s office to send the US Marshals on his behalf.

“So she raised this concern and Fani Willis fired her. She’s now talking with our office, and we’ll see where that goes. And that’s why we we subpoenaed for records and documents related to this. We’ll see what we get. There’s still a few hours left in today. She also was interesting. She instead of accepting service on the subpoena, she made us send the US Marshals even though our office had talked with her office, we’ve had correspondence back and forth. She made the US Marshals take the subpoena there. So go figure this is Fani Willis,” Jordan continued.

In a letter addressed to Fani Willis earlier this month, Jordan expressed concerns about the illegal use of taxpayer funds in the DA’s office, citing reports from the whistleblower.  “These allegations raise serious concerns about whether you were appropriately supervising the expenditure of federal grant funding allocated to your office and whether you took actions to conceal your office’s unlawful use of federal funds,” Jordan wrote.

However, Willis has claimed the accusations are “false” and “baseless,” discrediting the whistleblower’s allegations.  “The courts that have ruled found no merit in these claims,” according to Willis. “We expect the same result in any pending litigation. Any examination of the records of our grant programs will find that they are highly effective and conducted in cooperation with the Department of Justice and in compliance with all Department of Justice requirements.”

The American Tribune reported on other initiatives from Jim Jordan, where the Ohio Republican opened an investigation into DA Willis allegedly accepting nearly $15 million from the Biden Administration between 2020 and 2023.
