A Malaysian family had an unwanted visitor when a giant King Cobra slithered its way into their home.
The venomous snake, which can grow up to 19ft, was filmed by Derrick YiFan as it slinks around and under the furniture at his Batu Pahat house on Sunday.
Mr YiFan first spots it under a pile of clothing and shoes, before it wriggles up onto some boxes, clearly terrifying the poor resident.
He uploaded the footage to Twitter, saying: ‘I thought this was just a science fiction thing! I can’t believe I saw that big snake with my own eyes!
‘This footage happened at Batu Pahat on June 18th at around 4 PM, I heard the sound outside and went out to see this giant snake.
‘It was impossible to prevent it from sneaking in. Luckily, there was no one in the house.’
As it slithers across his floor, the terror in Mr YiFan’s voice is palpable as he tries to shoo it away.
The huge reptile ends up slinking into a gap between his front door and an inner grate, before disappearing through a hole.
He added that he is confident the snake is no longer on his premises, but he does not actually know where it went and is scared it will return.
