On a business trip to Dhi Qar in 2016, Iraq’s transport minister, Kazim Finjan, made a startling declaration. He asserts that the Sumerians actively explored the solar system and established a spaceport of their own.
Around 7000 years ago, between the Euphrates and Tigris rivers in Mesopotamia, there was a highly developed civilization known as Sumer. In the end, Babylonia was made, and it is now in Syria and Iraq. The Sumerian pyramids are inferior to the Egyptian pyramids in terms of architectural beauty. The purpose of the enormous structures known as ziggurats, which were built in ancient Mesopotamia, has been explained in a number of ways, including the interest of ufologists. Nobody could have foreseen the official making such a statement.
Numerous gods were revered by the Sumerians. Enki (god of water, knowledge, and mischief), Enu (sky god), Enlil (“Lord Wind”), Inanna (“Queen of Heaven”), Utu [sun god], and Sin were all revered by the Sumerians (moon god). The wheel, cuneiform writing, arithmetic, geometry, irrigation, saws (and other tools), sandals, chariots, harpoons, and beer were among inventions made by them. According to Finjan, the first airports and platforms for spacecraft were constructed in Eridu and Ur some 7000 years ago. The minister gave no explanation of how or from whence the Sumerians obtained such knowledge.
While visiting the Sumerian wing of the Iraqi Museum in Baghdad, Professor Kamal Aziz Ketuly reported seeing three Sumerian clay tablets with cuneiform writing and drawings that date to about 3000 BC. He asserts that one of the tablets he found has heliocentric representations of the solar system. Additionally, “Mesopotamians had a calendar with months and years beginning in 3000 BC, suggesting that the Moon was studied at that early age.” In ancient Mesopotamia, “all five of the visible planets, the Moon, the Sun, the stars, and other celestial occurrences, were known and studied.” The planets involved are Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, and Jupiter.
The origin of multi-tiered temples is the subject of numerous scientific theories. One is the requirement to keep the building in the condition that the gods intended. As a result, each tier was constructed on top of the one before it.

The aspirations of the Sumerians to enter a higher realm were evident. It’s possible that the quantity of renowned people and the number of platforms are related. It’s important to keep in mind that Lower Mesopotamia lacked minerals and trees. It is challenging to determine where the materials for fully functional spacecraft from because the Sumerians were active traders. The truth will be hidden behind the curtain of time. The Sumerians would have fled the world long ago if they had reached space.
